Due to its higher levels in the drinking water, several health diseases and contamination are always a door step away, as the higher concentration of fluoride in the drinking water causes unhealthy effects on body. Some of the major problems include chalky-white teeth of the children under 10 years of age in the places where fluoride concentration is above 2 mg/l.

• Initially the water passes through a special fluoride removal resin media based on activated alumina capable of removing fluoride from water
• One can recharge this media several times
• Then after, the fluoride free water passes through another filter which removes suspended solids from water

Maintenance & Recharging of Filter:

• Activated alumina based resin absorb fluoride from the water
• Absorption capacity of activated alumina varies from 2300 ppm to 14000 ppm per kg of fluoride
• Recharging of resin is very simple and can be done with basic training
• Recharging takes about 2 hours, after which the system is ready for next cycle
• First we charge system by caustic and them by acid
• Cost of regeneration is only 20 paisa per 1000 liters of safe filter drinking water
• After the capacity of absorption resin is to be recharged by sulphuric acid and caustic
• The resin can be recharged many times
• Life of resin depend on the quantity of fluoride contain, turbidity, hardness and pH of water

Our fluoride removal units filter and purify the water for hand pumps. During the initial stage, water passes through a special fluoride removal resin media. This is based upon the activated alumina capable of removing fluoride from water. One can recharge this media several times. During the second stage, suspended solids are removed from the water as fluoride free water passes through another filter.
